Hello!
Today, we are releasing Sheep Wars into the revamped Wool Games Lobby! Here is what is included with this update:
- Kits System in Sheep Wars
- 10 New Sheep Wars Maps
- Achievements and Stat Tracking for Sheep Wars
- Private Game and Replay support for Sheep Wars
- Revamped Wool Games Shop Menu
- Capture the Wool has moved to the Wool Games Lobby
- Bug Fixes

► Kits
During the Sheep Wars pre-game, you will have the opportunity to select 1 of 6 simple kits. Pick whichever one synergizes with your playstyle the most!
- Builder: Earns x2 Blocks (default)
- Raider: Starts with an Iron Sword
- Bowman: Earn x2 Arrows
- Munitions: 20% chance to earn an additional Sheep on pickup
- Tank: +2 Max Hearts
- Heavy: Takes half explosion knockback but has Slowness I
You can right-click any kit to set it as your new default for future games! Each kit also comes with a specific color of pants to help distinguish them in-game.

► Wool Games Lobby
With this update, we are moving Sheep Wars
andCapture the Wool into the Wool Games lobby. We have tried to support the existing Wool Wars cosmetics across Sheep Wars and Capture the Wool as best we can.
➥ New Shop Menu
The shop menu has now been better condensed into 3 sections: layout editors, my cosmetics, and game settings. Everything should be easier to access now, and we have also added some new settings to Sheep Wars.
➥ Changes to Layers and XP
We have also changed how Layers and XP were earned in this update to make the system more friendly for Sheep Wars and Capture the Wool.
Wool Wars
- 25 XP - Win a game
- 10 XP - Win a round
- 5 XP - Lose a round
- 5 XP - Kill
Sheep Wars
- 25 XP - Win a game
- 10 XP - Kill
- 5 XP - Shoot a Magic Wool
Capture the Wool
- 75 XP - Capture a Wool
- 50 XP - Win a game
- 15 XP - Kill a player (with the Wool)
- 10 XP - Kill a player (without the Wool)
All Modes (Layers)
- 1 Layer - 5 minutes of playtime (across modes)
- 10 Layers - Level up
► Other Sheep Wars Additions
➥ Achievements
This update includes 6 Challenge Achievements, 4 Tiered Achievements, and 1 Secret Achievement. In total, there are 360 new Achievement Points to earn with this update!
Additionally, we have changed the requirements and names around for several Wool Wars and Capture the Wool Tiered Achievements so that everything in the Wool Games lobby is more coherent with one another.
➥ Stat Tracking
We have begun tracking statistics for Sheep Wars with the release of this update. Please note that not all tracked statistics are shown in-game for simplicity; however, they can still be viewed on the API!
➥ Private Games
Support for Private Games has been added to Sheep Wars with this update. There are a few special modifications you can toggle as well:
- Sheep Spawn Rate (0.5x/1x/2x/4x)
- Kits (Enable/Disable)
- Magic Wool Spawn Rate (Disable/0.5x/1x/2x/4x)
- Map Destructibility (Totally/Default/Disable)
- Totally: Every block (even the clay scaffolding) can be broken
- Default: Every block except the clay scaffolding can be broken
- Disable: No blocks can be broken
Note: The bolded option is the default selection.
➥ Replays
As with any of our PTL releases, Sheep Wars has gotten support for Replays. You can access them through /games
.
► Other Changes
- Barriers have been renamed to Cages to better represent its use in Sheep Wars as well as Wool Wars
- Renamed a few cages to better identify that they are, in fact, animated
- Renamed the "Wool Wars Level" projectile trail to "Wool Games Level"
- Added a "Mode" setting to the lobby leaderboards to filter the rankings for each individual game
- Updated the colors of the leather armor in Wool Wars, Sheep Wars, and Capture the Wool to be more vibrant
- (Sheep Wars) If a player logs out during the game, the last enemy player that damaged them will now receive kill credit
- (Capture the Wool) Hats are now visible on your own head
- Consequently, you may no longer interact with your armor. Armor is still automatically equipped when picked up if it is superior to what you have equipped at that moment
- Captured Wool will take priority over your selected hat cosmetic
► Bug Fixes
- Fixed Enchanted Gold, Diamond, and Emerald hats not showing as enchanted when previewed
- Fixed previewing cages (barriers) leaving ghost blocks in the lobby
- Fixed previewing animated cages (barriers) not removing the rightmost column of blocks when the preview ends
- (Sheep Wars) Fixed kill credit not being given under certain conditions
- (Sheep Wars) Fixed slowing down/speeding up your opponent's Sheep also changing the rate you were able to damage them
- (Sheep Wars) Fixed kills sometimes showing the indirect cause of death rather than what actually got the kill
- (Sheep Wars) Fixed Earthquake Sheep particles using the missing texture for double stone slab blocks in Minecraft 1.8
- (Sheep Wars) Fixed the game never ending if each team has one remaining player that both die at the same time
- (Sheep Wars) Fixed dismounting from an Onboarding Sheep occasionally teleporting the player back to where the sheep was thrown in Minecraft 1.8
- (Capture the Wool) Fixed capturing a wool giving 1 white wool instead of the actual amount of wool in the capturer's inventory
