This guide will cover the basics of Hypixel Skyblock to help you progress as it is a rather complicated game.
Don't worry if you are confused about the game at first, as it is totally normal.
You can always use the Wiki when you need help on what items do.
Before you start on your skyblock journey, you may want to get some skyblock mods and texture packs.
There are mods like Skyblock Addons, Skyblock Extras, Patcher, and more. I personally use Badlion Client which has Skyblock Addons built into it.
You can find almost all of them here.
There are a lot of texture packs available for skyblock, like Furfsky Reborn, Vanilla+, and more. I personally use Furfsky Reborn.
You can find almost all of them here.
This guide will most likely have a lot more parts following this, so be on a lookout for it!
Before you start the game, there are some mechanics that will be useful, but not compulsory to know.
Coins - the main form of currency in skyblock.
Skyblock Menu - the menu (which is always in your 9th hotbar slot) where you can access a lot of information, like skills, collections, your stats, etc.
To open the menu, you can hold it in your hand and right click, or enter /sbmenu in chat.
Skills - a very important part of skyblock, which can be upgraded by performing actions that correspond to the skill.
Upgrading them gives you a small, but permanent stat bonus.
Fairy Souls - small collectibles scattered all across the map (including other islands other than the hub island). 5 of them can be exchanged at Tia the Fairy (129 66 137) for a small but permanent stat bonus.
As of when I'm writing this, collecting all 227 fairy souls will grant an additional 615 Health, 53 Defense, 53 Strength, and 4% Speed, which is a lot of stats, so it's highly recommended to get all of them.
You can refer to Timedeo's Fairy Soul Guide here or use the Badlion Client's fairy soul waypoints mod, which just got released so it may be buggy.
Minions - minions are *COUGH* mandatory volunteers you can craft and place on your island, which will generate items over time, even when you're offline. There are different ideal layouts for some minions, so you can refer to that by going into the minion menu.
Mayors - There are many different mayors in skyblock, and they give perks, which sometimes might be good or bad.
You can see the current mayor by typing /calendar in chat, or going to the Community Center at (6 73 -110).
You can elect a mayor by going through the teleporter in the Community Center.
There are some things that beginners might not know, but they will help massively and save some time.
Short Forms - this may not be a tip, but it is certainly good to know.
AH - Auction House
BZ - Bazaar
SB - Skyblock
AOTE - Aspect of The End
AOTD - Aspect of The Dragons
AOTJ - Aspect of The Jerry
k - thousand
m - million
b - billion
Free Booster Cookie - booster cookie is something you can buy from the bazaar, which costs around 3m coins as of now.
They can give you a lot of very good perks for 4 days, which will continue counting even if you're not online.
To receive this booster cookie, you must have 5 hours of playtime which you can check by typing /playtime in chat and talk to Elizabeth (0 71 -101).
When you use this booster cookie, you will gradually gain 4800 bits x your bits multiplier (only if you're online, so it's recommended to afk a few hours).
Buying items from the bits shop and selling them on the AH will make you around 1.4m coins.
Portal Hub - you can type /visit prtl or /visit PortalHub (whichever one you prefer) and you will be warped to a portal hub.
Sometimes, this island will be full as a lot of people use it.
You can enter the portals on this island and you'll be warped to that place.
Commands - there are some commands in skyblock that you should remember and know.
/is - warps you to your private island
/hub - warps you to the hub island
/ec - opens your ender chest menu
/st - opens your storage menu
Repelling Candle - this candle that you can place on your private island will prevent mobs from spawning, so you won't l0se a lot of money dying to the mobs at your island when you're afk.
When you first start the game, you should just follow the objectives given on the scoreboard.
Break a log
Craft a workbench (which is not needed because you can just do /craft)
Craft a wooden pickaxe
Talk to Jerry (whom you have to bridge to with blocks)
Use the teleporter
You will be teleported into the Village, where you can explore areas such as the Auction House, Bank, Farmhouse, etc.
Talk to all 12 villagers to finish the quest.
Once you're done, come to the wheat fields (around 37 70 -120) and farm wheat until Farming X (10), while selling all of the wheat and seeds you get at the Farm Merchant (15 70 -71)
If all of the fields are empty, you can go to the Hub Selector NPC (-10 70 -67) to swap to a different lobby and continue farming.
At Farming X (10), you will unlock Jacob Contests by talking to Jacob (23, 71, -69).
Contests are held every hour for 3 different crops, which lasts for 20 minutes. You can enter by farming at least 100 of any of the 3 crops.
You get a Jacob Ticket for participating, a bronze medal for top 60%, silver for top 25% and gold for top 5%.
You can spend Jacob Tickets and medals at Anita (23, 77, -70).
After you got the money, buy 4 gold ingots from the Mine Merchant (-8, 68, -125) and one piece of wood from the Lumber Merchant (-49, 70 -68).
Craft one golden shovel and one golden axe.
Go to the Library (-31, 69, -110) and buy 1 stack of EXP bottles.
Enchant your shovel with telekinesis and efficiency 2 and your axe with telekinesis and the highest amount of efficiency you can enchant.
Go to the Forest and chop down trees until you get to Foraging VII (7).
Go to the Mushroom Desert in the Farming Islands (portals at 77, 72, -182, followed by 142, 92, -309)
Mine sand with your shovel until you get to Mining VII (7).
Now you would have unlocked the bazaar (-32, 71,- 76), where you can buy and sell materials at much better prices than NPC sell prices in bulk.
Now, it's time to go more into combat.
There are a lot of starter weapons and armor sets to choose from and get the best one you can afford.
You can buy most things at the Auction House, AH for short
For weapons,
Undead Sword - 100 coins, at Weaponsmith (-9 48 -140) > Silver Fang - 10k coins on AH > Raider’s Axe - 150k coins on AH (buy preferably a high kill counter one) > Aspect of the End - 200k coins on AH.
For armor sets,
Use full Lapis Armor - 30k coins on AH when mining and full Glacite Armor -62k coins on AH while fighting mobs.
After you get the items, head to the Coal Mine (-19 77 -144), go down the middle path and take the portal to the Gold Mine.
Go down the middle path in the Gold Mine and take the portal to the Deep Caverns.
You can use a bug and fall down into the void at 23 136 84, unlocking all the areas in the Deep Caverns.
If not, you may choose to navigate down the mines without dying.
Head to the lift operator (45 150 15) and you can choose which areas you want to go to after unlocking them.
With your weapon, test how much damage you can deal with one shot and grind mobs that you can easily one or two shot.
Try and grind combat until Combat XII (12), which will then allow you access to The End, where you can fight endermans that gives you a lot of combat XP. Now, you can get ender armor, which is around 180k coins on the AH.
Now it's time to get you're enchanting level up and max enchant all of your gear.
Craft an enchanting table, which you can get diamonds from the bazaar, obsidian from the builder (-51 71 -27) and books from the librarian (-35 69 -112). Craft bookshelves (preferably more than 20) and place them around the enchanting table. Buy grand experience bottles from the bazaar can start max enchanting your sword and your ender armor.
Once you reach Enchanting X (10), you can start doing Superpairs, which is going to be your main source of enchanting XP.
To do this, craft an experimentation table with 8 oak wood and a experience bottle from the librarian.
You're supposed to match the different rewards with each other to claim them.
You can use Skyblock Addons'/Badlion Client's Experimentation Table Solver so you don't have to memorize all the items.

Not a bad guide, but what would you say to someone who has progressed mildly further in their profile but still struggles with raising stats to the point where they still struggle with enemies in Spiders Den?
I've been looking around and unless I've made a major mistake, I don't think I've seen any guides that explains this. Maybe I'm just an idiot but it's not very obvious how I'm supposed to be able to eventually take on Blazes without dying in two hits, or quickly going through 22k HP of enemies in 2 swings. The weapons exclusive to Skyblock are probably one method (besides enchantments, reforges, tailsmans ((which I don't know much of))) but I don't know which ones I should aim for, how I can get them without AH, etc...

Based on your skycrypt, you should find a time to get all the fairy souls.
Use thirtyvirus' talisman guide here to get the talismans you can easily afford and reforge all of them. (personally I just have all of my talismans reforged to Itchy but you can do your research on what reforge you want to get)
I don't recommend grinding blazes and spiders for now, since you should be grinding combat XP to be able to use AOTD (combat 18) and dragon armor (combat 16).
Depending on how much damage you can do, you can grind different mobs.

Yeah, but, I'd rather not just sit in a single area until I can use a meta sword and meta armor. Can't I keep advancing my equipment up to that point more easily?
And unfortunately, my damage is like... 200-180 with my Cleaver. I can only really handle up to Deep Caverns enemies and even then, Miner Zombies still deal a ton of damage.
Should I maybe check my Collections to find better stuff I can upgrade to that isn't something end-game like AOTD or other meta weapons that I can't get the money to buy on AH?
(Also updated the API settings for Skycrypt, should reveal more info now)

You should either get a Raider’s Axe - 150k coins on AH (buy preferably a high kill counter one) or an Aspect of the End - 200k coins on AH and max the one you get out. Reforge it to Spicy at the Blacksmith. Cleaver isn’t the best weapon for you.
Get Combat XII (12) so you can access The End, buy full ender armor on AH and max them out.
To get the money for it, I recommend upgrading your Coin Allowance upgrade at Elizabeth so you can get 10k-50k everyday when you log in.
Use diamond minions with compactors too.
You can also farm sand at the Mushroom Desert with at least an Efficiency II (2) golden shovel for an active money making method. Sell enchanted sand at the bazaar.
Also, AOTD is not even close to late game or mid game.

Yeah, but doesn't getting these weapons via AH cause players to skip past multiple collection armors and weapons? People keep telling me to go for the exact same weapons and stuff because "it's cheap on AH".
Is there some problem with progression that makes getting AOTE or AOTD as soon as possible so important?
Thanks for the money making advice though, this seems very useful.

From what you’re saying, I think you meant you don’t want to just buy items from the AH. In this case, you can get a Raider’s Axe for 130k coins from the Melancholic Viking (-359 91 76 Spruce Woods)
From the wiki,
- Right-click the Melancholic Viking to begin the quest chain.
- Use a Magical Water Bucket to extinguish the fire in the cabin. You must place the water directly onto the fire.
- Right-click the furnace with a Raw Fish. This will consume the fish, and make the furnace become active.
- Use the Fish Hat's "Splash" ability. You must use it a total of 15 times, which costs 150 Mana. for the Viking to finish reminiscing.
- Lightning will rain down from the sky, and the Viking will become the "Joyful Viking". You can now access the shop for the next 2 minutes.
However, this way, the Raider’s Axe would have no kill counter when you buy it, so it would be quite weak, but definitely better than a Cleaver. Reforge it to Spicy.
To get an AOTE, you can craft it at Ender Pearl Collection VIII (8) with 32 Enchanted Eye of Ender + 1 Enchanted Diamond, which will require 10240 Ender Pearl + 1024 Blaze Rod + 160 Diamond.
Otherwise, you can just buy Enchanted Eyes of Ender and Enchanted Diamond at the bazaar.

Never grind Miner Zombies/Skeletons
Crypt Ghouls are debatable because there are lots of them so it might be more efficient
But if you don't do a lot of damage Ice Walkers are by far the best for combat xp
They give 40 combat xp, only 0.8 less than Endermen, while both Crypt Ghouls and Miner Zombies/Skeletons give around 30.
Anyone can onetap them using a pickaxe and they have drops that are useful (Glacite Armor) or can make you some money (Glacite Jewel, 20-60k per)

They do a lot of damage especially to beginners, so it might not be the best way.
It's also pretty troublesome to go all the way back to the Great Ice Wall after you die.

if you don't want to skip progression then buy undead sword (100 coins) from weaponsmith and enchant it
it should 1 shot undead mobs (aka zombies and skeletons) in deep caverns when maxed
grind lapis zombies for full lapis armor, enchant it with growth 5 protection 5
buy a common bee pet, cheap and helps a bit, you also get taming xp
buy all the accessories from the merchant (forgot the name, sells mob drops) and reforge them to forceful. hurtful and itchy are also good
reforges are typically fierce on armor (pure is good too), sharp/spicy/legendary on weapon
you should be able to easily survive deep caverns and grind combat xp there (combat levels increase damage)
